You still have a report to read, you know it’ s going to take you at least an hour.  The little one has had a meltdown on the way home and there’s still bath time, story and bedtime to get through.  Who knows what’s for dinner and when was the last time you and your husband actually talked about anything other than schedules and planning? 

It’s just too much. 

 

What happened to the joy and magic of parenting? Noone mentioned the overwhelm, frustration and guilt (oh, the guilt).

 

You feel like an imposter at work and as though you are clinging onto your career.

 

There has to be an easier option, hasn't there?

 

YES.  And there is.

 

It all starts with choices.  Choices about where you are going to put your energy and what you are willing to let go of.

Whilst everyone is different and the program is tailored to you and your unique situation, I’ll walk you through a rich and enjoyable 4 stage process that will provide you with the clarity you crave and a definite plan of action to turn your vision into reality.

Phase 1 - Assessment

No two situations are the same and being a mother with ambitions and wanting more can feel full-on. It doesn’t have to be. The specifics of what you find challenging will differ to everyone else. On the surface, ‘lack of time’ feels pretty universal, and in some ways it is. However, once we look beneath the surface, you will find that there are specific ways in which you approach using the time you have that will be unique to you. Getting a grasp on the specifics of what you are finding challenging, what you are already doing incredibly well, what is important to you, and where you want to get to are the vital ingredients we start with. I take you through a number assessments that look at your skillset and goals and unlike traditional career coaching, will also look at your values, your life goals, what you enjoy and what you would like more of.

Phase 2 - Visioning

You are ambitious. You want to achieve at work and at home but how clear are you on what that looks like? The juggle means that you need to work hard and smart. A clear vision and sense of direction will form the underpinnings of your success and will be critical to your ability and motivation to get there. Having completed the assessment phase of our work, you will have a clear idea of who you are, what you are finding most challenging, what you are doing well and what you’re really craving. All of this will go into developing your career vision. Developing this vision is the fun part of the process, it provides you an opportunity to build a picture of your future that excites and challenges you. I will encourage you to be bold and to think big, to really go for what you want without censoring yourself. We’re not worried about what’s practical yet, just in exploring possibilities, understanding what really lights you up and, importantly why.

Phase 3 - Testing

Armed with your vision and your goals, we start to bring reality back in - taking the elements you identified in your vision and looking at how to make them work alongside everything you are juggling. We’ll look at the practicalities and answer questions such as: “What are your have to haves?” “What are your nice to haves?” and perhaps most importantly, “What can you stop doing?” We then refine your vision into something that is both exciting, achievable and works for you and your family.

Phase 4 - Action

Now we turn your vision into reality. We create a solid and workable plan and break down the key practical steps you need to make it happen.

There are currently two ways to work with me on a one-to-one basis.

We can meet twice a month for a minimum of 3 months.  

Alternatively, I offer my services in the form of a coaching intensive.

I send you a number of exercises to complete ahead of the sessions to get your creative juices flowing and thinking about your career objectives. 

You book a session using my online calendar.

// STEP TWO //

You call me on FaceTime/Skype on the relevant day. We get crystal clear on your objectives for the session and brainstorm, plot, plan and strategise.

// STEP THREE //

I provide you with a fresh pair of eyes to look at the questions that you have been turning over in your head, to challenge your assumptions, notice your limiting beliefs and help you to get unstuck and back into taking action (possibly in the form of homework).

// STEP FOUR //

After the call, you will receive a recording so that you can re-listen and hear some of the things that you might have missed when we spoke. Then you get going with making it all happen and taking action.
